Tee Talk: Your Essential Golf Etiquette Refresher
Plus, The Arnold Palmer Winner and The Players Predictions

Hello Tee Talkers!
Golf is a game steeped in tradition, and part of what makes it so special is the etiquette that accompanies it. Whether you're a seasoned pro or new to the game, a little refresher on golf etiquette can go a long way in ensuring everyone has an enjoyable experience on the course. Let's dive into some key etiquette tips that will keep you in good standing with your fellow golfers and the course staff.
1. Respect the Tee Time
Punctuality is key in golf. Arrive at the course with plenty of time to check in, warm up, and be ready to tee off at your scheduled time. This helps keep the pace of play smooth and ensures everyone gets to enjoy their round without delays.
2. Keep Pace with the Group Ahead
Maintaining a good pace of play is crucial. Always keep up with the group in front of you, and be ready to hit when it's your turn. If you find yourself falling behind, be courteous and let faster groups play through.
3. Silence is Golden
When a fellow golfer is preparing to hit, be mindful of noise and movement. Stand still and remain quiet until they've completed their shot. This simple act of courtesy helps everyone focus and perform their best.
4. Repair Divots and Ball Marks
Taking care of the course is everyone's responsibility. Always repair your divots on the fairway and ball marks on the green. This ensures the course remains in great condition for everyone to enjoy.
5. Rake the Bunkers
If your ball finds its way into a bunker, be sure to rake the sand smooth after your shot. Leave the bunker in better condition than you found it, so the next player has a fair chance.
6. Mind the Flagstick
When on the green, be mindful of the flagstick. If you're the first to hole out, offer to tend or remove the flagstick for your playing partners. And remember, the new rules allow you to putt with the flagstick in, so communicate your preference with your group.
7. Respect the Dress Code
Many courses have a dress code, so be sure to check and adhere to it. Generally, collared shirts and appropriate golf attire are expected. Looking the part is all part of the fun!
8. Be Gracious and Sportsmanlike
Golf is a game of integrity and sportsmanship. Congratulate your playing partners on good shots, and be gracious in both victory and defeat. A positive attitude makes the game more enjoyable for everyone.
9. Keep Your Phone on Silent
While it's fine to have your phone with you, keep it on silent mode to avoid disturbing others. If you need to take a call, step away from the group to do so.
10. Have Fun and Enjoy the Game
Above all, remember that golf is meant to be fun. Enjoy the camaraderie, the challenge, and the beauty of the course. A smile and a good laugh go a long way in making the day memorable.
We hope this etiquette refresher helps you enjoy your next round to the fullest. As always, we'd love to hear your thoughts and any additional etiquette tips you might have!
Until next time, keep swinging and playing with respect!

Henly takes the cake and adds it to his impressive list:
TEE TALK’s Editors Top 3Picks for the Upcoming Players Championship:
Scheffler - yes its obvious, but after last weeks showing Scotty is due and Tee talks analysis takes him at number one this week. He will show a message to the haters (if there are any) he is the best for a reason.
Bhatia - he has been around a lot but has not sealed the deal. He is a sleeper pick on our radar this week. Expect a top-10 finish; if not, he will move down from our list to a possible bust on the season. He has a lot to prove, and we are pulling for him.
Clark - he has become a not-so-recent fan favorite after a few close calls on the rules. We see him as a top contender here with the backlash. No free drops this weekend as we see him coming out guns blazing.
